Over in the CNMI, the legislative investigation into the "BOOST" program under the Governor's Office continues. BOOST, which stands for "Building Optimism, Opportunity, and Stability Together" provides financial assistance to local businesses and non profits through grants funded by ARP federal money.

Legislators are seeking information about the process of awarding, source of revenue, and eligibility. They recently issued subpoenas to agencies involved, including the Bank of Guam who responded to their request on time.

However, Department of Finance, Commerce, Bank of Saipan, and the governor's office all requested for extensions.

Rep. Celina Babauta said, "I just wanted to let the people know out there that there is no intention to stop the program. We are simply trying to get answers for the people who have applied. We have come across and I am currently meeting with several of the applicants at this time."

Babauta says that they'll decide how to move forward after they receive the documents. Governor Ralph Torres has denied allegations of vote buying that were made before the general and runoff elections.
