A man who was shot multiple times and survived following an argument that unfolded in Hagat last year told the court he wants financial restitution for his injuries and the trauma he suffered from in the shooting.

This comes as the man accused of pulling the trigger in Feb. 2021 admitted to the crime.

Randy Junior Chaco Nauta pleaded guilty to aggravated assault before Superior Court Judge Maria Cenzon today.

The agreement lets Nauta off the hook for the attempted murder charge.

He was sentenced to serve one year and 10 months total in prison with credit for time served.

That means Nauta is expected to get out of prison the week before Christmas.
