A man contracted to safeguard a local charter school is arrested after being accused of stealing hundreds of dollars in cash and equipment from the campus.

Twenty-seven-year-old Jason Troy Toves is charged with theft of property.

Court documents state the staff at SIFA Learning Academy Charter School told police multiple items went missing including $200 in cash, a security camera, a leaf blower, and an electronic door lock.

Toves was a contracted security guard for the school.

He allegedly admitted to the theft after he was caught on camera stealing the items.
