Search efforts were underway this morning of the waters and land around the Port Authority of Guam after units were called to a report of an unattended dive buoy.

The Guam Fire Department responded to the scene at 10 a.m., according to GFD Spokesperson Nick Garrido.
First responders are using boats and jet skis to search the area around the buoy, along with the assistance of a GFD drone, rescue divers and surface swimmers.

Port police officers are searching the shoreline, but did not spot any unattended parked cars in the area, Garrido said.

The search was called off at 12:30 p.m. due to negative findings.
