Stabbing investigation forces GMH to suspend visitation hours
An apparent stabbing investigation has forced a local hospital to suspend visitation hours.
Sources tell KUAM a woman, who had been stabbed, showed up to the Dededo Precinct Command Monday morning before she was taken to the Guam Memorial Hospital.
The woman's condition is not known at this time.
But detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division are searching for a suspect.
"No updates as of this time. Detectives and patrol officers are still conducting follow-ups and leads," said GPD Spokesperson officer Berlyn Savella.
Since the woman was rushed to GMH, officers are keeping a close watch for her protection.
"Visitation has been temporarily suspended," said GMH Spokesperson Cindy Hanson. "We are not able to comment on the situation because there is an ongoing police investigation. This is standard procedure when a police investigation is ongoing."
