Trial set for next April for cop accused in deadly police shooting
A local cop indicted in a deadly officer-involved shooting in Dededo will go to trial in Superior Court next spring.
Guam Police Department Officer Justin Quenga, who faces charges of manslaughter and negligent homicide, appeared before Judge Vernon Perez today.
It was said in court that Quenga’s trial is set to begin in April of next year.
Quenga remains on duty.
Back in March he was responding to a report of a man targeting people at a gas station with a slingshot. That man investigators confirmed was Iopy Rudolph who Quenga allegedly shot and killed.
