RACE: Senatorial

BIOGRAPHY:

As for my work experience, my resume demonstrates my passions— serving the people of Guam.

I am a former Deputy Administrator for Guam Economic Development Authority; Senator for the 31st Guam Legislature; Veteran News Anchor, Reporter and News Personality on KUAM News, Newstalk K57, Pacific News Center, and Choice Broadcasting 93.3FM The Point; former Owner/Director Wee Care Child Development Center.

I have always been an advocate for businesses and for building a strong economy for our island, and over the years have worked to create new laws that help to increase business activity and develop new industries on Guam.

I have also created legislation during my term in the 31st Guam Legislature that helped to improve access to government services.

If elected to serve again, I will continue to focus on improving the economy, because I believe that building a strong economy will allow us to better address critical needs in public safety, health care and education.

Meanwhile, I am a Proud graduate of the Academy of our Lady of Guam, and Studied Communications and Political Science at the University of Guam.

I am a daughter of Rosemarie Underwood+ and David Silva+, Married to Phil Taijeron.

I am a Mother of six (Maria Silva, Lauren Taijeron, Philip Taijeron III, Kristin Taijeron, Alexandria Garcia, Barbara Peralta) and seven grandchildren (soon to be eight).

(Avah, Lilli Grace, Savannah, Aston, Frank, Elijah, Philip IV)

I hope you consider filling in the bubble next to my name and #12 on the #Republican side of the ballot, come Nov. 8.
