Thousands of voters hit the polls early ahead of Super Tuesday. More than 11 percent of registered voters decided to cast their ballot at the Westin in Tumon in recent weeks. The early voting polls closed today.

The votes will be added to the count following the Nov. 8 general.

KUAM News spoke with several voters today about their experience.

Gyongyi Rosario of Tamuning:

"Easy, fast. I’m done."

Thelma Hechanova, Yona: I came back to Guam and I really want to make sure my voice is heard an other people's voices are heard too.

Kristina Cade, Barrigada: I think it’s time for some change with some of our leaders. There is a lot going on in the island that we need to address. I know we are coming off a pandemic but I just feel we need some change, some new blood.

Anita Arile, Dededo: I encourage everybody to do electronic (voting). It’s way faster. And I waited because of procrastination. That’s why.

The Guam Election Commission will run a test election this Sunday.

Polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
