Guam Community College office of Continuing Education and Workforce Development has extended the deadline for its Medical Home Health Aide (Caregiver) Boot Camp IV to Nov. 4. The program is designed to train and prepare participants for a career in Guam’s Allied Health Care Workforce.

This free boot camp is done in partnership with the Guam Department of Labor. Participants must meet the minimum requirements:

18+ years old
High School Graduate or Equivalent
Unemployed or Underemployed

At the end of the six-week boot camp, successful completers will earn a certificate of completion/credentials in Medical Home Health Aide (Caregiver) OHSA 10 (Health Care), HeartSavers/First Aid/CPR, Work Ethic, and WorkKeys NCRCÒ.

Completers may also transition into the GCC Allied Health program and earn an Associate of Science or Certificate in Medical Assisting, an Associate of Science in Practical Nursing, Certified Nursing Assistant and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
