Former MMA fighter could cut deal in attempted murder case

A former MMA fighter accused of attempted murder is working out a plea deal in his case.

Roman Alvarez appeared before Superior Court Presiding Judge Alberto Lamorena today.

It was said in court that plea negotiations are ongoing with prosecutors.

Until then, the judge told the parties that new trial dates will be set.

In February, Alvarez was involved in a fight with another man who he then allegedly hit with his car outside of a Tumon nightclub.
