All seems to be going well at the new monoclonal antibody infusion center now located at Paseo Stadium in Hagatna. At yesterday’s COVID-19 meeting Public Health’s interim chief medical Dr. Bob Leon Guerrero shared how the MAB treatments have been going so far.

"They had their first infusion on Thursday, they had five yesterday and I think they’re scheduled for five today. So it’s starting to pick up. This is to help offload the hospitals because they were doing anywhere from five to fifteen per day and people generally don’t want to go to the hospital, so this is a good alternative they can go to," he stated.

Before opening the new MAB Infusion Center, only the Guam Memorial Hospital and the Guam Regional Medical City offered the treatment. As KUAM News reported, the monoclonal antibodies are used to treat mild to moderate COVID-19 symptoms. The infusion center is open Monday through Saturday from 9am to 4pm.

If you are experiencing COVID symptoms, consult with your doctor to find out if you qualify for the MAB therapy.
