Twenty-nine-year-old Michael Francisco Villagomez was arrested and charged with Family Violence and Assault of an Unborn Child, both as misdemeanors.

According to a magistrate's complaint, on July 22, Villagomez allegedly struck the victim more than once during an argument, hitting her face and causing bruising to her arms.

On July 24, police made a check of a Yigo residence where they noted the victim had injuries to her eyelid and ears. The victim also told police she was a few months pregnant.

Villagomez told police he admitted to arguing with the victim and slapping her, according to the complaint. The reporting parties also told police they feared for the victim's safety because Villagmez had a history of family violence with the victim.
