The Federated States of Micronesia has seen an increase in COVID cases over the past few days. According to the office of the president, FSM's Facebook page, on July 19, COVID cases were identified on Kosrae and Pohnpei.

Cases were rapidly increasing as expected and mitigation measures were in place and that testing and treatment centers were stood up and readily available. On July 23, there were a reported 439 positive cases.

On July 24, a total of 218 new cases were reported with three hospitalized including FSM Vice President T.H. Yosiwo P. George, which was confirmed by the FSM national government. He is currently hospitalized in the state of Pohnpei.
