The Guam Community College is still working to tackle one of the barriers to education for a lot of potential students-- transportation.
With what seems to be the never-ending rise of gas prices on Guam, GCC hopes to establish a transportation system with the Guam Regional Transit Authority to address that bump in the road to advancing higher education for many possible students.
GCC President Dr. Mary Okada gave KUAM News a progress report.
"There are a few grant opportunities that we've been researching to get something through that just so that not just the college but the university because we're in close proximity so that we can get students to potentially public transportation as their means to get to the campuses," she said.
It's still not clear whether students will have to pay for the transit to the Mangilao college campus.
