It's the return of the Guam Freedom Rocks Festival and you're invited to celebrate. Join MWR this Independence Day at Polaris Point for live entertainment from local bands, dance groups, Navy displays, rides for the kids, food and of course--a fireworks display. The festival has been on hiatus for the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It kicks off at 3 p.m., in Piti and the seven-minute fireworks show is set for 8 p.m.

Although you won't need a military ID or base access to attend, there are quite a few items you cannot bring to the party.

The following are examples of prohibited items: drones, weapons, personal fireworks, backpacks, grills, glass containers, coolers, large bags, tents, recording devices (audio or video), outside alcohol, pets, rollerblades,
skateboards, and roller-skates. Marijuana and other drugs are also
prohibited on military installations.

The following are examples of allowed items: small bags or purses,
umbrellas, towels, strollers/wagons, and folding chairs. Security personnel
will inspect all bags and hand-carried items at the entrance to the event.
