Leaders mourn former Sen. Pilar Cruz Lujan

The condolences and accolades are pouring out for former six-term Sen. Pilar Cruz Lujan, who passed away Sunday at the age of 92.
Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero issued a statement saying Lujan was a "passionate educator who championed the institution of Chamoru language... and led the transformation of our international airport.
Speaker Therese Terlaje's office also released a message on behalf of senators praising Lujan for re-establishing the Guam Supreme Court while chairperson of the Judiciary committee. The Democratic Party praised her for her role as a past chairperson. Lujan was pre-deceased by her husband, Senator Frank G. Lujan, and her daughter Justice Monessa Lujan. She is survived by children Dr. Davina Lujan, Galen Lujan, and Rolenda Faasuamalie.
