156 new COVID cases reported from just 503 tests analyzed

The COVID cases continue to climb as another 156 cases were reported Friday evening from 503 specimens collected on June 9, according to the Joint Information Center. 24 of the cases were reported by the Department of Defense.
Just five residents are now hospitalized due to COVID with one receiving ICU level treatment. Four are confined at the Guam Memorial Hospital, while one is being treated at Guam Regional Medical City. Of the hospitalized, four are vaccinated and one is unvaccinated. To date, there have been a total of 49,935 officially reported cases, 367 deaths, 576 cases in active isolation, and 48,992 not in active isolation.
