They served as an essential link for Guam to the outside world.

United Airlines, Philippine Airlines and Jin Air were recognized today with "lifeline Carrier" awards by the Leon Guerrero administration, as they continued to fly and provide essential service and cargo during the pandemic.

They were honored in a ceremony at Adelup, where the governor offered the island's thanks.

"But because of your mission and your services we continued on with whatever essential life we could have here on our island," Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero said. "And so although today is to commemorate and to give you our deepest thank you for all that you have sacrificed during this pandemic, I say I am grateful forever, every day, for your continued services here on our island."

Managing Director for Asia Pacific Airports Sam Shinohara represented United Airlines.

Jeselyn Tan Yu of Goodwind development represented Philippine Airlines.

And Station manager Mr. Ko represented Jin Air. Ko also announced that Jin Air would be increasing its flight frequencies soon, and changing arrival times to make it more convenient for passengers.
