It was a strong effort for a strong demand. Despite the rush to get island residents to join the Vacci-NATION, another vaccination clinic was held Monday, but for the island's school children. GDOE in conjunction with the Department of Public Health's Immunization Program held a vaccination clinic at the GW High School Gym. PPD, Tdap, HPV, MCV, and the flu vaccine were all available to 4 GDOE schools. The clinic was brought together to help with the return of face-to-face instruction.

The GW site was the sixth student vaccination clinic since the beginning of March, but these nurses have been forced to face a storm much different from the typical COVID vaccination clinic. GDOE School Health Counselor, Betty Diaz, told KUAM News,

"Parents, don't bring one child - they'll bring like four, so that means we have to set up fill out four forms set up four sets of vaccines and it's very complicated it's not just it's not like COVID one boom you're done and then we have to ask if they're sick make sure they're okay they didn't have any reactions but I'll tell you our nurses we just keep on going," said Diaz.

At the end of the day, Diaz said they feel exhausted and overwhelmed, but they continue to work for their students and the community.
