He was supposed to be sentenced in district court this week, however a sudden recess mid sentencing of William Topasna Mantanona pushed the hearing back two weeks.

According to court documents, Mantanona's attorney William Gavras presented the court with medical records that were recently received by the defendant. Gavras requested a continuance so that he and the government can review the records. The court granted the request; the sentencing was continued to Jan. 26.

Mantanona was indicted for count one obstruction justice by endeavoring to influence a juror and count two false statements. He is accused for his role in jury tampering in the Raymond Martinez and Juanita Moser federal drug trial. Mantanona was arrested along side his brother, John "Boom" Mantanona and former juror Greg Tyquiengco.
Mantanona entered a plea agreement nearly one year ago, pleading guilty to count two false statements. He faces a maximum imprisonment term of five years, a 250-thousand dollar fine and a three year supervised release term.

Today the government filed another unopposed motion to continue former juror Tyquiengco's sentencing hearing for 60 days from now.
