Due to covid 19 court limitations and challenges with impaneling a jury, Carlos Enrique Morales' district court trial date has been vacated.

He faces conspiracy to commit visa fraud charges. He is accused in conspiring with others to commit the offenses over the span of three years. Further, allegedly back in August he knowingly presented a fraudulent U.S. permanent resident card to U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents during a Guam outbound flight. His trial date was previously set for Dec.22, 2020, however, according to the court jury polling questions reveal over 50 percent are not feel comfortable coming into a courtroom during the pandemic.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Leon Guerrero told the court a plea agreement has been extended. Morales' attorney Assistant Public Defender Leilani Lujan says they are exploring the possibility. A status hearing has been set for the end of January. Morales remains on pre–trial release.
