The Guam Green Growth Working Group members reconvened yesterday to discuss the development of the G3 Action Framework. It's in alignment with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
"Around COVID-19 we are now talking about building the world back better, fairer, and more resilient," Dr. Austin Shelton said, "Reconvening is so important because the G3 working group has sustainable development goals to serve as the roadmap we can align with to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all."
He noted that over half a million dollars in new funding was secured since the start of the pandemic for G3, Center for Island Sustainability, and Sea Grant program efforts.
"The outcome really is coming up with very reasonable, tangible, and realistic goals that we can pursue as a government and aligned with civil society," Lt. Gov. Josh Tenorio said.
The group is comprised of over 70 members.
