Virtual Village Meeting Thursday for FAS community

The Micronesian Resource Center One-Stop Shop, out of the nonprofit Mañe'lu, FSM Association and FSM Consulate will hold a Virtual Village Meeting this Thursday to help Freely Associated States citizens stay connected during the COVID-19 pandemic.
You can catch the meeting on the Mañe'lu Facebook page at 4 p.m., May 28.
Under the local nonprofit Mañe’lu, MRCOSS has worked to assist FAS families with their transition to life on Guam. During the pandemic, the group has been working to translate COVID-19 government regulations and assist with benefits and application processes for FAS citizens. It's also been busy responding to phone calls and other inquiries from FAS citizens as well as other Guam residents.
Project Director Edimund Wengu said they also anticipate training in the future with the Department of labor to help clients complete the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance application.
“We have been very active on social media to get out important information and offer our services to those in need," Wengu said. "We are happy to help everybody during these difficult times.”
The MRCOSS office is located in the Harmon Industrial Park and is currently open by appointment only from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. To ensure client and staff safety, the office requests that clients who feel ill refrain from visiting the office. Face masks and social distancing guidelines have been instituted and surfaces are sanitized after each client visit. If you, or someone you know could benefit from the multi-lingual assistance of the MRCOSS
staff, please contact the office at 789-1265, send an email to mrcoss@manelu.org or send a message on Facebook @mrcoss.guam.
