In district court, Magistrates Judge Michael Bordallo recuses himself from former yona mayor's informant, Brenda Kinian's case. Yesterday, Bordallo filed a disqualification order that did not include an explanation.

On the same day, Kinian was scheduled to appear in court on May 7 however the defense motioned for a continuance.

Chief Judge Frances Tydingco granted the request, stating "for good cause" in court documents and set the hearing for Aug. 12 at 2:30 p.m. As we've reported former mayor of Yona Jesse Blas pleaded guilty to extortion and drug trafficking. Kinian posed as a drug trafficker, utilizing the Yona mayor issued cluster boxes.
