Effective Monday, the Department of Education will be suspending all agency and school-sponsored employee and student travel until further notice.

GDOE is also requiring a 14-day absence for students and employees who are returning from countries with confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The agency is also still considering the closure of one or more schools for the short or long term depending on guidance from public health experts.

For now, GDOE is continuing to reinforce good hygiene and increasing cleaning at school sites and central offices.
