Some of the most difficult details came out in testimony today against a man accused of raping and murdering a Dededo teen.

Another case agent assigned to the investigation into the murder teenager Timicca Nauta testified today, describing the crime scene through the CSI photos from the 2018 homicide.

Police detective Eric Mondia testified that when he interviewed Brandon Acosta he repeatedly said he didn't commit the crime, but never specified what crime, however, he admitted to burglarizing the Quan residence in Dededo.

"He said he went across the street and went into this room, it was pitch black , it was dark and something startled him and then his next response was it was a mistake," Mondia said.

Acosta is on trial for Aggravated Murder, Criminal Sexual Conduct, Burglary and Home Invasion with a Special Allegation for Use of a Deadly Weapon. He is accused of raping and then killing 15-year-old Timicca Nauta in June of 2018.

Agent Monida, described what he saw upon arriving at the crime scene and entering Nauta's bedroom.

"Both of her knees were on the ground and feet pushed back as if she was kneeling," he testified. "The upper torso of her body was laid flat on the bed with her head tilted to the left and her right hand extended straight onto the bed and then her hand dangling on the bottom."

The prosecution asked Agent Mondia to describe areas in the bedroom where there was blood, and also the placement of body wounds.

"The first wound that I noticed when I walked into her room was this long 6-8 inch laceration again that's an approximate, then this is a deep, very deep laceration on the neck and this white part here you can see some cartilage from the spine area, the left ear was severed in half... there was some injuries to the left side of her face and this is the blood pool in here and then the blood splattering on the wall," he said.

Agent Mondia was the sole witness to testify during trial this afternoon. Trial continues next week on Monday at 10:15 a.m.
