Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero is in the nation's capital for the National Governor's Association meeting. While there she will attend a series of meetings with senior military officials, and senior White House staff.

She will also be meeting with the assistant secretary of Interior and testify before the House Committee on Natural Resources on the Fiscal Year 2021 Federal Budget and its impact on Guam.

According to a statement from Adelup, the substance of these meetings includes the return of excess federal land by the military, projects related to the Guam Buildup, foreign labor policy, and the Compact of Free Association.

The governor is scheduled to return home on Feb. 15.
