Washington state officials confirm a man traveling from China was diagnosed with the Corona virus.

It's the first case reported in the U.S. since the outbreak that has sickened hundreds in China.

The man is in good condition, recovering in isolation as health officials scramble to retrace his footsteps. The virus, which causes pneumonia-like illness, appears to have originated at a market in the city of Wuhan. The virus is usually found in animals.

But the Centers for Disease Control says this is a new disease that's spreading through people. The Corona virus has been confirmed in Thailand and Japan in travelers from Wuhan. There are no direct flights from Wuhan to Guam and according to Public Health, the island is considered to be at low-risk at this time.
