SNAP and CAP public assistance programs will experience delay
Recipients of the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program and the Cash Assistance Program, also known as SNAP and CAP, can expect a four- to five-day delay in their benefits for December.
Public Health blames an electrical fire on Wednesday that forced the shutdown and evacuation of it’s main facility in Mangilao.
GFD declared the 46-year old building a safety hazard, and the Governor declared a State of Emergency. DPHSS is relocating operations to other offices, and is asking for recipients’ patience as it works to get services back online.
