Guam Memorial Hospital and Guam Regional Medical City still remain on divert status.

According to GRMC Spokeswoman Cindy Hanson the hospital has been on divert since Tuesday morning and this is a result of GMH experiencing an overflow of patients and a lack of personnel and beds.

GMH administrator Lillian Posadas says that the entire third floor has reached capacity, as of this morning seven patients were in need of cardiac monitoring beds. Posadas said when the ER doctor declares divert it's then communicated to the Guam Fire Department and medics alternate between the hospitals.

Both GMH and GRMC want to assure the public that there is no reason to worry and if anyone is in need of medical care, it will be provided.
