Army Guard members recognized for assisting injured person
Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero, Commander-In-Chief, and Guam National Guard recently presented certificates of recognition to Guam Army National Guard Staff Sgts. Amie Celimen and Kayne Kamminga.
While facilitating an Armed Forces of the Philippines general officer's visit earlier this year, they rendered aid to an injured person before medics arrived. They ensured the individual remained calm and refrained from movement that could have caused further injury.
The soldiers are part of the 105th Troop Command and attribute their quick reaction and ability to assist those in need to their military training.
