Complaint filed at hospital prompts CMS visit
Recently CMS paid a surprise visit to the Guam Memorial Hospital after a complaint was filed on the hospital's website.
A surveyor from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services was onsite because someone filed a complaint via the Center's portal on the hospital's website, according to GMH Administrator, Lillian Posadas.
However, it isn't obvious which one of the portals directs you to CMS. We asked hospital reps if they could identify the link on their page but received no response as of news time.
What we could find is a Patient Satisfactory Survey in the drop-down menu under the Patient Portal. The survey asks about the hospital's various divisions and services...like employee courtesy, room cleanliness, nurse's response time when called and the survey asks also to identify which hospital you visited.
Posadas says as per CMS she cannot make any public statements on the matter until further notice
