2019 ISA World Surfing Games wraps up in Japan
Guam’s best surfers wrapped up their competition in the 2019 ISA World Surfing Games presented by Vans in Japan.
Although Jared Gogue won his fist repechage heat on Thursday, he wasn’t able to make it pass the second round.
Team Guam Surfing Coach Lindsey Wilson says “I am really proud of each member of the team coming to such a world-class event and putting up such a good fight. They represented Guam very well and I was honored to be a part of it all. I really hope the Guam team can continue the momentum into next year’s worlds and many more.”
Representing Guam in Miyazaki, Japan were Gogue, Shane Pier, Cheyne Purcell, Alison Bowman, Irie Fitzgerald, Team Manager Willi Byerly and Coach Wilson.
