On Tuesday, Guam Police Department officers responded to a residence in Yigo. The female victim said that a man known to her approached her in an aggressive manner with a metal rebar. The man began to swing the rebar and ended up striking the victim once on her back causing her to fall to the ground.

Officers noted a red mark and bruising on the victim's back. According to court documents, 38-year old Reimy Ikea admitted to hitting her. Ikea was charged with aggravated assault as a third degree felony, family violence as a third degree felony, and a special allegation of possession of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony. He was booked and confined.
