Another attorney withdraws from Dexter Long case
Dexter Wilton Long was scheduled for a status hearing before Judge Joaquin Manibusan, but it has been moved to a later date due to a motion to withdraw counsel.
The motion was filed by public defender Cynthia Ecube, who was recently appointed to his case after attorney Jeff Moots withdrew himself citing conflict.
The court has appointed attorney Joseph Razzano to Long's case.
Long was recently indicted on federal drug charges connected to the attempted possession of close to 1,000 gross grams of suspected meth. He attempted to file a guilty plea in court, however, the court entered a not guilty plea for him.
The status hearing is now scheduled to be continued on July 29 at 9:30 a.m.
