Guam's Catholic Education has a new superintendent.


Dr. Juan Flores succeeds Richard Alvia who left in May to pursue a doctoral degree. Flores has a bachelors degree in Biology from Colgate University in New York. A Masters in Education from the University of Portland, and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University in Washington.

According to News files, Flores was hired as superintendent of the island's public schools in 2003, but his contract was terminated by the Board in 2006.
