Guam defeats New Caledonia in beach volleyball
Our men's Beach Volleyball bounced back from their opening game loss to Tonga and picked up a win over New Caledonia in 2 sets 21-19, 21-19 to improve to 1-1.
Then lost to Papua New Guinea 21-16, 21-1 and currently sit at 1-2.
In Olympic style Weightlifting Dayamaya Calma added to Guam's medal count after taking home a Silver in the snatch, Bronze in the Clean and Jerk and Silver for total.
The Pacific Games are also being used for the Oceania Weightlifting Championships where she took a Silver in the Senior Division, Gold for Junior and Gold in the Youth Division.
Jacinta Sumagaysay took to the platform in the 55kg division winning a Silver in the Snatch, Silver in the Clean and Jerk and Silver for combine lift.
