There will be no more direct flights between Guam and Hong Kong.
United Airlines has announced it will discontinue the four-times-a-week service effective Oct. 27.
Instead, it will offer daily connections to Hong Kong via Narita, Japan. The airline says it will be contacting customers who are booked beyond Oct. 26 to offer other flight arrangements.
Meanwhile, United says due to increasing demand, it will also increase flights to Nagoya to twice daily service. That's an additional 500 seats a week, or 26-thousand more a year. UAL will operate Boeing 737 aircraft on the routes.
