Guam's first female governor will be the speaker for the University of Guam's Fañomnåkan Commencement Ceremony.

UOG President Thomas W. Krise explained why Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero was a fitting choice.

 "Her story truly speaks to UOG's tenets of para hulo' and rising above, and we're excited to let her words be the first to inspire our first class of 2019," he said. 

The commencement ceremony is set for Sunday, May 26th at 2 p.m. at the UOG Calvo Fieldhouse. The ceremony will be streamed live on the University of Guam's Facebook page.
