Guam Rugby's Heineken Women's Seven's team has been rewarded for consistently good performances in the 2015 and 2106 Development Sevens tournaments in Chennai, India with an invitation to play in two of the three 2016 Asia Rugby Women's Sevens tournaments.

The two tournaments Team Guam will attend are in Hong Kong and Seoul Korea next month.

These tournaments feature only eight teams with the top 6 teams in Asia being "core" teams who play in all three tournaments and three other teams (Guam, Korea and Sri Lanka) who will each play in two tournaments. The best performing of Guam, Korea and Sri Lanka will become a core team for 2017.

It should also be noted that the top 4 Asia Rugby Women's Sevens teams in 2019 will represent Asia in the final Olympic qualification process for Tokyo 2020.
