BIO:
Robert RDC Hofmann is the current Mayor of the Municipality of Sinajana. Robert’s desire to make a difference helped him achieve success in the 2004 and 2008 election as Vice Mayor of Sinajana. In 2012 he ran unopposed for Mayor. He is seeking re-election in 2016.
Robert’s diligent efforts have made Sinajana a safer place to live, work, play and do business in. He reorganized and restructured the budget and streamlined operations. Along with Vice Mayor Rudy Iriarte, they successfully renovated and repaired the multi-purpose court into Guam’s first open air gymnasium, the baseball field, the community center and a new playground set to open in September 2016. These efforts have also attracted development and private investment in the community.
Robert’s efforts have stretched to providing an active community center, especially catering to the needs of Sinajana residents. Community center activities range from the sponsorship of youth baseball, basketball, and hockey teams to an education-based summer and Christmas camp, apart from working with the Guam Community College in providing residents the opportunity to earn a GED, to providing venues for humanitarian assistance and the education of the public on health and wellness issues and other social issues that plague Guam residents.
As Vice Mayor he has served three terms as Vice President of the Mayors’ Council of Guam. He also served as a Board Member for the Guam Visitors, the University of Guam's Regent Nominating Council, the SPIMA Senior Citizens Advisory Committee &Discipline Council, the Tourism Education Council and was the President of Guma Mami Inc.
Over the past twenty years he has assisted, volunteered and worked with dozens of non-profit organizations, charities and numerous public and private organizations.
Robert is also very involved in the parish community of Saint Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church where he serves as a Parish Council Member, a Youth Minister, a Choir/Band Director, a Liturgical Committee Member, Adult Confirmation Teacher and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also an Altar Server, Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and middle and high school CCD teacher over the past twenty three years.
He is currently is a Board member and Chairman of the Destination Management Committee for the Guam Visitor’s Bureau, a Board member of the Selective Service Commission, a Board member of the P.E.A.C.E. Council, and the current Vice President of Guma Mami Inc.
His memberships and employment, inclusive of the Legislative and Executive Branches of the Government of Guam, have helped him gain valuable experience in a variety of areas which grant the knowledge and understanding to better provide for the community. Through these experiences, Robert has received numerous awards, recognition's, and certificates for his contributions to our island's youth, manåmko’, the religious community and the community-at-large.
He is the son of music teachers, the late Albert Hofmann and Maria Cecilia Dela Cruz Crisostomo and step-father, Joaquin Perez Crisostomo (Familian Beyong). Robert is the brother of Edward and Alisa Hofmann (Inara) and Norbert Hofmann. His extended family includes Jimmy & Robertha C. Johnson, Doris Crisostomo, Raymond Crisostomo, Alvina & Francis Castro, Yolanda C. & Paul Flores, Lynn Crisostomo, Kenneth & Kimberly Crisostomo, and JeanAnn C. & Ian Frey. He is the grandson of the late Albert Hofmann and the late Kreszenia Haberl Hofmann of Austria. His maternal grandparents are the late Francisco ""Paco"" Muna Dela Cruz (Familian Koho) and the late Carmen ""Meling"" Romualdez Dela Cruz who together founded the Guam Academy of Music & Arts.
Robert and his wife Jenee Taitano (Familian Kalistro) have three daughters- Hailey, Haydn, and Holland."
