BIO:
I am John Perez Taitano a resident of Mongmong Toto Maite for the past 58 years.
I am the youngest son of +Jose Camacho Taitano and +Amanda Lizama Perez Taitano born on Mare Island, Vallejo, California. I am married (32 years) to Maria Tenorio Delos Reyes Taitano and we have three(3) children: John Ray married to Jordine Sondia Pecina Taitano and two (2) grandchildren Zekaya Ines and Zekariah Jeorge Taitano; Marie Inez; and Joseph Christopher.
I retired from IBM Corporation, a Fortune 500 Manufacturing and Service Company after two and a half decades of service. I was the Account Customer Engineer for the Island of Guam and the entire Pacific region inclusive of all Micronesia from the Marshall Islands, Kosrae, Pohnpei and Chuuk in the East to the Palauan and Yapese Islands in the west as well as the Islands of the Northern Marianas, Rota, Tinian and Saipan. In addition I was responsible for US Defense sites in the Pacific Region.

I started serving the Credit Union in 2007 as a Member of the Board of Directors. I Chaired the Member Services, Human Resource, various Ad Hoc committees and was voted Chairman of the Board three terms. I am currently serving as a member of the board for the next three years.
• Young Mens League of Guam (YMLG)
I began service with this organization in the early 80’s and served as a Member at large and as a Member of the Board of Directors. I currently hold the office of Vice President for the Board.
Government Service:

I served with the GEC since 2000 when I was originally appointed by the Republican Party and confirmed by Governors Carl Guiterrez, Felix Camacho and Eddie Baza Calvo. I served as Chairman of the board from 2009-2011. I resigned from the GEC at the end of 2015 to seek the office of the Mayor of Mongmong Toto Maite.
• Guam Mass Transit Authority
I served as a member of the Board of Directors and was appointed Chairman of the Board by Governor Joseph Ada and Lt. Gov. Frank Blas.
• Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse (Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center)
