Vicente Anthony Ada, or “Tony” as he is known to the island community, is serving his third full term as a Senator in the Guam Legislature and currently serves as its Minority Leader. His humble beginnings as the son of a local businessman and former Guam senator influenced Tony to continue his family’s legacy of service. First, as an active duty service member in the U.S. Army, then as a private businessman for over 16 years before turning his skills toward government service.

In June of 2009, Tony accepted the appointment by then Governor Felix Camacho to be the Director of the Department of Youth Affairs. In March of 2010, Tony was elected to the 30th Guam Legislature in a special election held to fill a vacated position and served the remainder of that term. As a member of the 31st Guam Legislature, Tony’s first full term as a senator, Tony authored over two dozen laws dealing with economic development, open government, education, public safety and public health. He continues to focus his efforts on issues affecting the quality of life of the people of Guam in the current term as a member of the 32nd Guam Legislature.
