Guam Homeland Security and the Marianas Regional Fusion Center are working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Homeland Security to determine who is behind the rash of bomb scares reported on Sunday. The Twitter account "EvacuationSquad" is claiming responsibility for the threats made today to local shopping centers including Micronesia Mall, Kmart, Agana Shopping Center and Guam Premier Outlets.

Other bomb threats were reported to the Westin Resort, Outrigger Resort, and Home Depot. Later, a bomb threat was made he Naval Base Guam to the Dominos Pizza inside the Navy Exchange food court.

According to Guam Homeland Security Spokesperson Jenna Gaminde "The Marianas Regional Fusion Center are looking into all leads, including those linked to social media." In a statement from the Governor's Office they ask that island residents remain calm and vigilant, "At this time we do not want to alarm or panic people, but we do ask that everyone be vigilant. Guam Homeland Security, Guam Fire Department, Guam Police Department and the Marianas Regional Fusion Center are continuing to work with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, both of which have been tracking these threats. We are working to ensure the safety of the public and the people of Guam and ask that if you have any information please call Guam Crime Stoppers at 477-4357."

Meanwhile this same Twitter account has threatened that all public schools on Monday will receive bomb threats. Department of Education Superintendent Jon Fernandez posted tweeted that all schools will be open tomorrow and that they are working with law enforcement to assess all threats.
