Evernote Scannable gives you powerful on-the-go scanning

by Andrew Roberto
If you need a document scanned while you're on the go and don't want to hassle with clunky scanners or fax machines, listen up. Even in today's push to go-green and be paperless, many documents like receipts and applications are still distributed the old fashioned way. Organizing, distributing, and finding those hard copy records sometimes is a hassle. Then there's the added responsibility of keeping important documents from damage.
Evernote Scannable can help with all of that. The new app quickly and easily transforms a document into a shareable scanned file. After allowing the app to access your camera, Evernote Scannable can automatically detect any document in range, whether that be a full page memo or even a hand written note on an index card. Then it transforms the captured image into a PNG, PDF, or JPG.
Unlike other scanner apps, Evernote Scannable is simple to use. If a user enables automatic scan mode, it really is as simple as putting a file in front of your phone's back camera. The app will take the picture for a user and then edit it as needed. Alternatively, users can use a manual setting if they want to control when to shoot pictures. The scanned documents can then be shared via email or text. There are even different storage options in the app. Although users can save documents directly to their phone, they don't have to.
Evernote Scannable creates high quality scans that are more than satisfactory. The scans wind up looking like the original document.
You can find Scannable in the Apple App Store.
