Only an estimated 20 seniors went without their home delivered meals this weekend. This is improvement as roughly 100 didn't receive their lunches Friday.

Li Quan Corporation had their Anigua kitchen shut down last week for failing to come into compliance with the new Guam Food Code.

Overnight, SH Enterprises doing business as California Mart was contracted as an emergency vendor. Their contract includes cooking and delivering 1,100 meals for man'amko.

Public Health director James Gillan tells KUAM today he was pleasantly surprised at the emergency vendor's progress with securing more drivers and ensuring more seniors received their meals.

Gillan notes the vendor was not at fault for many of the undelivered meals as recipients weren't home or had guard dogs.

The emergency vendor SH Enterprises is contracted for up to 90 days for the 7-day catering operation.
