All DOE schools will be open on Wednesday
DOE superintendent Jon Fernandez announced that all schools will resume classes on Wednesday.
Officials at the Department of Education have been working overtime to get schools opened. While five schools were closed today, the remaining opened despite the current boil water notice. Superintendent Jon Fernandez said, "We needed drinking water on campus, that meant we were working together with our private sector partners, our parent organizations, and our faculty and staff, we've been able to get sufficient bottled water for all of our students, at least for the short-term."
He said stakeholders went the extra mile to get water to campuses and distributed to students.
Fernandez announced that all schools will resume classes on Wednesday. However, students and teachers are still encouraged to bring bottled water for the remainder of this week.
