Guam - US Attorney Alicia Limtiaco spoke to Rotarians this afternoon to get feedback on an upcoming training set for June of this year. In alignment with the US Attorney General's "Smart on Crime" initiative, it would assist those transitioning from the prison community back into society. "Reentry is not just a matter of public safety, it's also an issue of housing and healthcare policy, a question of education and employment, and a fatherhood and family challenge that affects millions across the country," she said.
Limtiaco hopes that feedback from the private sector will allow the upcoming training to more effectively remove barriers that traditionally prevent formerly incarcerated individuals from smoothly transitioning into being productive members of our community.
