Jury returns verdict in Dededo rape case

Guam - The Jury has returned verdicts in a case involving two men facing rape charges.
Although Frances Madeus was found not guilty of first degree criminal sexual conduct he was found guilty of 3rddegree CSC as a 2nd degree felony. He was also found guilty of kidnapping. Minorichy Rugante was also found guilty of kidnapping and 1st degree criminal sexual conduct. There was a third defendant in the case but Jose White Longa had pled guilty prior to the trial. All three are scheduled to be sentenced in April. The three were implicated in the rape of a 24-year-old woman at Lencho Park in Dededo in January 2014.
