Public Health gets funding youth childrens programs

Guam - The Department of Public Health has been awarded a $1 million federal grant to fund a portion of the Affordable Care Act. According to Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo the grant will support programs that help families raise their children from birth to five years to become physically, socially and emotionally healthy and ready to learn. The funds awarded will help develop home visiting programs to improve child health and prevent child abuse and neglect. The program will also help to encourage positive parenting and promote child development that will prepare children for school.
